Senior group

We know that strength training is important regardless of age, and that older people can benefit even more from such training compared to young people. According to Truls Raastad, professor at the Norwegian Sports Academy, "strength training is the most effective method for maintaining muscle mass and thus good muscle function."
 
This will be a "low-threshold offer" for you who have little experience with strength training, perhaps you are a little curious, perhaps a little unsure whether you can participate due to any limitations/pain, perhaps you want to experience that you are getting stronger, experience mastery . The training will be in the hall with the use of dumbbells, barbells, kettlebell, knitting, own weight – varied training. 
 
  • The group meets twice a week, and the training lasts about 60 minutes
  • The course is a total of 12 exercises
  • Training starts at 13:00 and finishes at around 14:00
  • The training sessions are carried out in a closed room at Rapida Balance
  • Permanent instructor every time
  • Each course has only 8 places
  • Start March 4

Who is Ellen?

I have an education as PT from NHI (Norwegian Sports Academy) and have been and are interested in strength training in particular throughout his life. After many years in the workforce, among other things, as an employee of NAV, I am now newly retired at 65 and want to be able to share my experiences with strength training with you.
